چکیدهپوشش های ترکیبیی حاوی نقره از طریق فرآیند سل-ژل روی تیتانیوم سنتز شدند. نمونه ها با میکروسکوپ الکترونی عبوری، میکروسکوپ الکترونی روبشی گسیل میدانی، آزمون پیوندی و روش شمارش باکتریایی مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. محتوای فاز جامد سل با افزایش نانوذرات TiO2، که از تشکیل ترک های میکرو در پوشش های سطحی جلوگیری کرد، افزایش یافت. استحکام پیوند گروه های پوشش داده شده، بهبود استحکام پیوند برابر 10.6% نسبت به گروه بدون پوشش نشان داد. کاهش درصد تعداد کل باکتری ها در برابر استافیلوکوکوس اورئوس کشت داده شده روی سطح پوشش ترکیبیی حاوی نقره پس از 24 ساعت انکوباسیون حدود 99.3% بود، که نشان دهنده فعالیت قوی ضد باکتری پوشش بود.
